About Lilja Tours

Who are we, and what do we do?

Lilja Tours is a travel agency founded in 2021 by Julien, who named the company after his newly born daughter: Lilja.

The idea behind Lilja Tours was to create a company with a real proximity with the clients. We design your trip WITH YOU, we involve YOU in the planning from the begining to the end, and we guide YOU once you are in Iceland. With this approach, we already know each others once you arrive in Iceland.

At the end of the year 2024, Philippe, who already guided many tours for Lilja Tours became co-owner of the company. He is now our lead guide, in charge of guiding most of our tours, and giving you the best possible experience in Iceland.

If multiday, customized tours are the core of our activity, we also offer a broad selection of ready-to-book private day tours from Reykjavík, that you may book directly on this website. You can, of course always reach out to us to customize these day tours.

And lastly, we carefully hand-picked a list of companies all over Iceland, offering the best possible excursions that we do not operate directly. From ice caves and lava tunnel to whale watching, helicopter tours and hot springs, if you are traveling on your own, Lilja Tours is the right place to book your excursions.

Our fleet

Two superiors vehicles are constituting our fleet.

We own a Van-type Mercedes V-Class, with a capacity of 6 passengers, with a big trunk for your luggage. This vehicle is the perfect choice for family and anybody who wants to travel on paved roads with comfort and style.

Our other car is a Toyota LandCruiser. It has speen specially modified and equipped to tackle the famous F-Roads in the Icelandic Highlands. Our LandCruiser will take you to the most remote places, and make the bumpy ride as smooth as possible. This car can accomodate a maximum of 4 passengers.

Our team

Our team is made out of two members.

Julien has been living in Iceland since 2016. As an outdoor enhtousiast, he has been guiding all over the country for 6 amazing years. Iceland has no secrets for him, and he now puts his knowledge and expertise of the country to your service, in order to design the most beautiful vacation for you.

Philippe has been working regularly as a guide for Lilja Tours since the early stages of the company. He is now also owner of Lilja Tours and our lead guide. Being lead guide makes him the first guide to be assigned to our tours, and therefore, you are very likely to find him behind the wheel during your time with us! Philippe also makes sure that our vehicles are always in top notch condition, and overall that everything goes well once you are in Iceland.

Together we work towards always providing a high-end service, that begins way before you step foot in Iceland, and only stops once you have left our beautiful island ... Until next time!
