Day One : 10th of November

Golden Circle and Culinary Experience

Your visits:

Today, you will explore Iceland’s most iconic route: The Golden Circle. Your journey begins at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO-listed site and the birthplace of Icelandic democracy.

In 930 AD, just 60 years after Iceland’s first settlement, Icelanders gathered here annually to shape their laws—a tradition that continued until 1798. But Þingvellir is more than a historical landmark; it’s also a geological wonder. Straddling the North Atlantic Ridge, this is the only place on Earth where you can see the rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates above sea level.

Next, you’ll witness the raw power of nature at Strokkur, a geyser that erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, following in the footsteps of its legendary big brother, Geysir (the origin of the English word geyser).

Your final stop is Gullfoss, or The Golden Falls, a breathtaking two-tiered waterfall that cascades into a rugged canyon, making it one of Iceland’s most spectacular natural wonders.

Your culinary experience:

Our journey includes visits to two charming Icelandic farms, offering a taste of the country’s finest local produce.

First, we’ll stop at Efsti-Dalur, a family-run dairy farm famous for its homemade ice cream—arguably the best in Iceland. And yes, today we start with dessert!

For a late lunch, we’ll head to Friðheimar, a unique tomato farm where you’ll dine inside a lush greenhouse. Ever wondered how tomatoes grow year-round in Iceland’s harsh climate? Discover the secret as nature plays a big role in this sustainable farming success story!

Your hotel:

You will be staying in the luxurious ION Adventure Hotel, nested between mountains and Hot Springs, far deep in the Icelandic countryside.

Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon – A hidden gem nestled beside the Fjallsjökull glacier, offering a quieter but equally stunning glacial experience.

Get ready to be captivated by Iceland’s raw beauty and create memories that will last a lifetime!
