Our tours in West Iceland

Reykjanes or Snæfellsnes peninsulas, and the Silver Circle

Three regions to visit in the West of Iceland.

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula, also called "Iceland in miniature", showcases the diversity of Icelandic Landscapes.

The Reykjanes Peninsula, an active volcanic land, and the theater of most of the recent eruptions.

The Borgarfjörður area, or Silver Circle, a less travelled region full of hidden gems.

Sunrise over a glacier

We did 2 tours with Lilja and LOVED them! Otto picked us up from the airport and took us to the Glymur Falls hike. It was quite adventurous– we crossed a river twice, scrambled up some small hills, walked on all types of terrain. The waterfall at the end was one of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen. We loved the challenge and adventure of it all. Glymur may be the most favorite hike I have ever done!

Hiking Glymur

Get on a challenging 3h hike, including two river crossings to one of the tallest waterfalls in Iceland.

As you are climbing further and further up, the waterfall suddenly appears, up to the point that it reveals all its glory, from top to bottom. After crossing the river at the top of the waterfall, on your way down, you will have the most amazing vistas over the fjord of Hvalfjörður.

Close to Reykjavík, the peninsula of Reykjanes is a land full of volcanic wonders. Located between the two tectonic plates that are tearing Iceland apart, Reykjanes is the youngest part of Iceland.

Famous for the Blue Lagoon, this is also where took place all the latest icelandic volcanic eruptions.
